5-minute Weight Loss Without Diets| Jaycooltips
If you have read my last post on, My Trip Back to Fit, then you would know that I have let myself go the last few months. I am not going to get into the details of my downfall in this post. But if you want to read more about how I gained 20 lbs. in a month, you can read that here: My Trip Back to Fit.
5-minute weight loss without diets
Journal entry 1.3
It has been a little over 3 weeks and it is time to weigh in. I woke up early this morning with fear in my eyes as I walked over to the scale. Saturday night was kind of wild, but I have done extremely well with making my own meals throughout the week. One night of fun should not screw that up, right?
Losing weight after regaining
So far, I have lost 12lbs. I started at 200lbs and now weigh 188lbs. My mission is to get to 180 before summer ends and then over the fall get back to my original weight; that I like for my body type of 173lbs.
The funny thing is, I have not been working out that much. My main concentration has been on my food choices and making sure I cook the bulk of my meals instead of using my waistlines arch nemesis; über Eats. I adopted the Tabata style of workouts and have done these 5-minute weight loss workouts that seems to be effective, without diets!
My meals that I prepare are delicious and not your typical weight loss, boring meals, that you normally see promoted. It really is possible to still enjoy the foods you love and still get results with little effort. I started an email downloadable training that can show you exactly how I have done this and will break down the following:
- Provide you with my pantry, fridge, and spice rack “must haves”
- It will give you a 4-day sample of my meal plan
- A recipe book of my favorite meals to cook
- And tips on how to maximize your fat loss
This is all free of course with no strings attached.
I just want to show people how easy it really can be to reach your goals of living a balanced life. If a big ol’ foodie like me can do it, I know anyone can.
I even make my own snacks and desserts to help fight those cravings during the week.
Meal prepping made easy
Journal entry 1.4
Meal prepping this week have kept me on track. I cannot believe how much weight came off even after hanging with my friends and partying (maybe a little too much) this past weekend.
Knowing what you are going to eat really keeps you from ordering out or making bad decisions.
If you remember from my first post, when I tried to run for the first time, it was disastrous! But, that was around the time I was eating fast food at least 3 days a week.
Now that I am cooking my own meals the bulk of the time, I have more energy, my breathing is better, and my joints are not on fire as much.
When eating fast food, you have no idea what is going into your body verses home cooked meals, where you have control over every single ingredient.
By me eating clean and whole foods 5-6 days out the week, when I do ENJOY myself with friends over the weekend, it does not have a huge impact on my goals. But, because of all the hard work I put in during the week, it helps me to not over do things when I have my “cheat” moments.
Think about it as if you are budgeting to save for a house, and you saved almost all the money you need, but then last-minute you go and buy a car. Makes no sense, right? Instead, maybe go get your old car detailed; you still spend money, but not as much, and you are still on track for your home!

I am very excited to add going back to the gym into my routine. Like I have previously mentioned, my workouts have been minimal. I have only been doing 5-20-minute workouts each morning and that is it.
I lost 12 pounds from just doing this so, I cannot wait to see what happens when I add weight training back into the mix.
People need to understand that eating is important for weight loss or to reach a certain fitness goal. The phrase is, “Bodies are made 80% in the kitchen, 20% in the gym.” Or something like that.
But it really is true!
Here is a sample of one of my 10-minute workouts that I really enjoy doing from home.
